These are very close to Levi's 505's of the 1960's - nothing aggressive on any front, just a detail rich, total package of a jean. Unlike some jeans that take some uncomfortable wear to get right, the 107's are great from the get-go and have a wear-with-anything, even fade over time.

Levi Strauss & Co. now buys its denim exclusively from Cone Mills. 1926 Bonuses are given to the workers at the Valencia Street factory, possibly a first in the apparel industry. 1927 ®Cone Mills develops the 10 oz. red selvage denim exclusively for the 501 jeans. The denim is woven in 29" wide looms and is known as XX denim.
Now, this may not actually be the best advertisement for the hard-wearing nature of Levi's Cone Mills denim, but this isn't the point. Various stitches, repairs and patch-ups actually only makes these jeans even more important to me. They've become truly unique and now will fully remind me of the second half of my 20s.

They have all the LVC replica's, all the way to 1969(?) maybe 1980. It's a really cool store. I recently bought a pair of the Limited Edition 505's x Cone Mills Denim jean and a Levi's x Filson denim shooting shirt. There's even a denim historian in house by the name of Robert Nuovo. Back in 2018, the last pair of jeans I bought came from the Levi's vintage collection. They were a reproduction of the 1966 501s, made with sturdy and stiff raw denim from the Cone Mills White Oak plant in Greensboro, North Carolina, the last selvedge denim mill in the United States.
