On August 12 th, 2021, Fives FCB was awarded a contract by Ciments Québec Inc (CQI) for the supply of two new FCB Horomill ® grinding workshops to upgrade its Saint Basile plant cement production facilities.
The salient features of the Plant which helps us in ensuring a consistent quality cement are: The first ESP and the first Combidan Mill in the Indian Cement Industry were installed here. The Plant was upgraded with the latest SF Cooler for clinker cooling. The new line of 1600 tpd clinker was established with state-of-the-art technology.
It says the investment will consolidate the cement operations at its Kwinana site. At present clinker is transported by truck from the Kwinana Bulk Terminal to cement mills at both the Kwinana grinding plant and the company's integrated plant at Munster. It will increase its production capacity to 1.5Mt/yr from 1.1Mt/yr at present.
