Stan, my mill has an R-8 spindle and I have a fair amount of tooling for it and that's why I chose to go the power drawbar route. I saw that guys plans and the pics of his drawbar look a little rough around the edges so I'm just going to make my own from what I can easily get my hands on.

I use the brake on the Webb Mill to hold the spindle from moving when tightening or loosening a collet. I tighten them up until I can feel that the collet has seated nicely. Another inch or so on the wrench and I'm done. To remove, I lock the spindle and use a dead-fall hammer to tap the top of the drawbar. Works for me.
